The Made-to-Order pairs open for configuration once we connect our payment provider. Until then the variant gallery on each MTO product page shows the finishes the atelier produces.

Our shoes are offered in whole sizes. If you need a half size, use the “Need a half size?” link under the size selector on any product page to send a request — we'll confirm with the atelier before you're charged. Width and last modifications are a special-order conversation; mention them in your request.

Every pair ships with a cotton dust bag and its shipping box, wrapped and prepared by hand for transit.

Made-to-order pairs are built individually for you, and the order is sent to the atelier automatically as soon as your payment goes through — so we can't offer a guaranteed cancellation window. If you need to change or cancel something, write to us straight away: within the first 24 hours we will make every effort to catch the order before work begins, though we can't promise it. After that the pair is already being made and the order is final.

True to size for most. If you're between sizes or have a wide foot, size up. The full sizing guide has a chart and a quick measuring method.

All Elegant and Urban silhouettes are lined in vegetable-tanned calf. The Atelier Standard runner uses a cotton-canvas heel pad to reduce break-in.

MTO pairs are non-returnable as each is built specifically for you. Manufacturing defects are replaced at no cost — see Shipping & Returns.

We ship to the continental United States only, and shipping is included in the price. We don't currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US territories, or internationally — write to hello@maellabb.com and we'll quote you directly.

Soft cloth, patent-specific conditioner once a week. Never use standard wax or alcohol-based cleaners. Full instructions on the Shoe Care page.

Stuff with newspaper, let it dry away from heat (never radiator or hairdryer), then brush the nap. The nap is forgiving — water marks usually lift completely.
