Ordering
How do I order a Made-to-Order pair?
The Made-to-Order pairs open for configuration once we connect our payment provider. Until then the variant gallery on each MTO product page shows the finishes the atelier produces.
Can I order a half size or a different last?
For MTO pairs, half sizes are available at no extra cost — write to hello@maellabb.com before placing the order. Width and last modifications are a special-order conversation.
What does my MTO order include?
Every pair ships with cedar shoe trees, a cotton dust bag, the original signed box, and a card naming the maker.
Can I cancel or change my MTO order?
You can change anything in the first 24 hours after we confirm receipt — colour, size, finish. After that the atelier has begun cutting leather and orders are locked.
Sizing & fit
How does Mael Labb sizing run?
True to size for most. If you're between sizes or have a wide foot, size up. The full sizing guide has a chart and a quick measuring method.
Are the shoes leather-lined?
All Elegant and Urban silhouettes are lined in vegetable-tanned calf. The Atelier Standard runner uses a cotton-canvas heel pad to reduce break-in.
Shipping & returns
How long until my order arrives?
In stock: 1 — 2 business days production + transit. MTO Quick: 2 days + transit. Atelier Standard: 25 days + transit. Full timing on the Shipping & Returns page.
Can I return a made-to-order pair?
MTO pairs are non-returnable as each is built specifically for you. Manufacturing defects are replaced at no cost — see Shipping & Returns.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — worldwide. Duties and taxes may apply on delivery depending on your country.
Care
How do I clean patent leather?
Soft cloth, patent-specific conditioner once a week. Never use standard wax or alcohol-based cleaners. Full instructions on the Shoe Care page.
What if my suede gets wet?
Stuff with newspaper, let it dry away from heat (never radiator or hairdryer), then brush the nap. The nap is forgiving — water marks usually lift completely.
Can I get a pair re-soled?
Yes. The atelier will resole at cost. Email us with photos of the wear.

Where are Mael Labb shoes made?
Hand-finished by a small atelier in Europe. Each pair leaves with a card naming the maker, the city, and the season.
