A shoe
that remembers
the foot.
Mael Labb began as a conversation between a sneaker and a body of work. A pair, set on the floor of a gallery, photographed like a sculpture. The hem of a dress, framed and hung beside it. Two objects, one grammar.
We are interested in the soft architecture of how a foot meets the world. In the inside of a sock. In the gesture before the step. In the way a shoe remembers a body, long after the body has left the room.
If a shoe can be elegant, sport, and casual at once — why not let it be all three? Mael Labb is built that way. Our designs, our materials, our colorways and patterns are chosen to elevate the look, the outfit, the presence — whether you wear them with a suit, with denim, or with a t-shirt. We believe in solid mono- and bi-colour statements.
